Development Manager to work on behalf of adults who are blind

DESCRIPTION:

The Development Manager supports the agency’s fundraising, marketing and communications activities. This generally includes two annual appeals, a monthly e-newsletter, weekly social media postings, an annual report, grant writing and management, and various other activities. In the past, approximately $150,000 in donations from individuals and $75,000 from corporations and foundations has been raised annually.

Schedule:

This is a full-time 40 hours position (9-5 or 8-4) but would consider 30 – 32 hours for the right candidate who only wants part-time. All work is on location at Friedman Place, on the northwest side of Chicago.

Compensation:

$55,000 – $65,000 for full-time, depending on skills and experience. Primary Qualifications:
  • Three years’ experience and demonstrated ability in nonprofit fundraising and communications.
  • Excellent communication, interpersonal, and organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Intermediate computer skills including all Microsoft products; experience with donor management software, especially Little Green Light a plus. Familiarity with disabilities is a plus.
