Certified Nursing Assistant

DESCRIPTION:

The Certified Nursing Assistant is responsible for providing quality resident care and direct support to residents. Friedman Place is similar to assisted living and while all residents are blind and most have medical conditions, as a group they are relatively very independent – far more than nursing home residents – and most need relatively little personal care.

Schedule:

A full-time (40 hours) and a part-time (20—30 hours) position is available. Day and overnight shifts are available, both during the week and weekends.

Compensation:

$18 – $20 per hour, depending on skills and experience. Friedman Place provides very generous benefits, including heavily subsidized health insurance; 20 paid days off plus 6 paid holidays annually to new full-time employees; retirement contributions; educational and licensure reimbursement; discounts on products and services; subsidy for gym membership, flexible spending account, meals, etc. and a friendly and casual work atmosphere.

Primary Qualifications:
  • 18 years of age or older
  • Certified Nursing Assistant
  • High School Diploma or equivalent
  • 2 years’ experience serving older adults or individuals with special needs, preferred
  • Long-term care experience, preferred
