Supporting People with Dementia

This program will begin with a medical overview of Alzheimer’s disease and other types of dementia. Practical issues related to the loss of independence will be described and communication challenges over the course of dementia will be explained. Finally, ways of minimizing or preventing unpleasant behaviors associated with dementia will be identified.

The training is free to attend and $10 for CEU certificates
CEUs available for social workers and professional counselors
