Gary and his sister return from a visit

Annual Report

Letter from the Executive Director, Ann Farnam Lagory

 Dear Friends of Friedman,

It seems we are daily bombarded with discouraging news and divisive voices. “There can never be change for the good,” these voices proclaim, “so why bother to try?”

At Friedman, we know differently. We are constantly witnessing our residents’ personal victories. For some that meant learning how to get to the dining room unaided. Others have gained control of their diabetes and lowered their bloodsugars significantly. A group of residents started their own drama group and are now preparing for a performance of “Our American Cousin.” Several others have gone through the rigorous training to obtain a service dog. Some are working to complete college-level programs. Their hard work and determination combined with our resources enables them to succeed. You have made a choice to help make this possible and we ask that you continue to support the positive changes that we see every day in whatever way you can.

This spring, we’ve combined our newsletter with our annual report in an effort to save money and resources. We hope you enjoy reading about what has been going on at Friedman and seeing how every dollar we spend benefits our programs...
